Build a Dual Band Radio

Post by WCHija » Sun Sep 16, 2012 3:46 pm

I want to build a dual band VHF-Hi/UHF 440-470 mobile. I have tried searching every site I can find for info on which parts I need, compatability issues, etc. Would someone point me in the right direction?

Build, as in board level on up?

That's going to take some heavy engineering knowledge, everything from microcontrollers up through RF design plus board building techniques and mechanical design!!! :o

Actually I found what I was looking for. GE-Harris makes a "Dual Radio" cable that allows two RF decks to be controlled by one control head. Similar to the Kenwood 90 series.
